Box 21 (Figure 32): This box was very badly preserved, and was carefully removed with the help of Pasquale Musella, the expedition conservator. The text was written on the short side of the box, which was made of acacia wood covered with a layer of red ochre and a layer of white plaster.
The damaged text consists of four horizontal lines in the center of the middle piece and recorded an expedition to Punt in the eighth year of the reign of the last king of the 12th dynasty, Amenemhat IV (ca. 1786-1777 B.C.).17 This expedition was also recorded on Box 2 discovered in the 2005–06 field season.1

18 Last year, Ny-mAat-Ra, a crown name of Amenemhat III was proposed in the lacuna of the royal name, but the
discovery of the text studied in this rapport with the second part of the crown name of Amenemhat IV ended with the sign of w which fit enough with only part of sign seen in the cartouche on the box 2.

Stela 14 (Figure 33): A rectangular stela of limestone, measuring 31.5 cm × 23 cm × 7.5 cm,
was found in WG 32, SU1. The rectangular shape with a cavetto cornice at the top is in the style of early Middle Kingdom stelae. The inscribed surface is greatly damaged and most of the inscription, mainly in the lower part on the left, is lost. The relief is divided into an official scene in the upper part and a private scene in the lower part. In the upper part, the god Min is represented facing the royal names of Senusret III (ca. 1870-1831 B.C.). The lower part consists of a text of at least seven columns and concerns two standing officials facing each other. This stela provides new evidence of the expedition of Senusret III to Punt in Year 5, which was also recorded on a hieratic ostracon discovered at Mersa/Wadi Gawasis by Abdel Moneim Sayed in 1977.19 This is the first offical stela of this king found in the site.
